FBR Tip #1 - Continued Education

How can we as pastors and ministry leaders continue to encourage and educate our people to be committed, faithful, and dedicated to The Family Bible Revolution? Here is one tip you may find very helpful...

Schedule a Family Bible Revolution "Family Meeting" (or whatever you would like to call it) bi-monthly or quarterly. Keep it short - maybe an hour at most.

Do a considerable amount of promotion each time, and strongly encourage everyone to attend - all unmarrieds, all families, children, youth, and adults of all ages.

Take fifteen or twenty minutes to share the vision and some important points. You can use The Family Bible Revolution book to share a truth about any of the "Five Essentials"... Family Worship, Authority, Appointed and Anointed, Generational, or Church Worship, etc.

Then, have an open discussion for the people to ask questions, share what's working for them (or what's not working for them).

Ask questions like...

  • What bible reading plan are you using?

  • Are you reading one verse, a few verses, a chapter, etc.

  • How are the children and youth responding?

  • If you are unmarried, how is it helping you in your personal worship at home?

  • Are there any grandparents that are included with family?

  • Are you able to do it once or twice a day?

  • What effects has it had upon your relationship with your spouse and your children?

  • How do you schedule it, and how much time do you typically take?

  • If it's just you and your wife, how is it helping?

There's no telling what great things could happen in a regular meeting like this. Well... I am sure you will agree with me - how about a Revolution!

Deuteronomy 11:18–19 (NKJV)

“Therefore you shall lay up these words of mine in your heart and in your soul, and bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall teach them to your children, speaking of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.

God bless you as you endeavor to "Prepare Your Family for the Coming of the Lord!"
